About Respol

Where research meets
real-world change

A Nairobi-based research and policy consulting firm working at the intersection of evidence, strategy, and community development since 2018.

Bridging the gap between
evidence and action

We believe that good policy begins with rigorous research — and that research without implementation is incomplete.

Respol was founded on a simple conviction: that the communities who are most affected by policy decisions should be centred in the research that informs them. Our interdisciplinary team brings together economists, social scientists, policy analysts, and community practitioners to deliver insights that governments, NGOs, and development partners can act on.

We bridge the gap between global best practice and the lived realities of East African communities — ensuring that evidence is not only generated but translated, communicated, and applied where it matters most.

Our Values

These principles guide every project we take on and every recommendation we make.

Rigour

We hold ourselves to the highest standards of methodological and analytical excellence — because the communities we serve deserve nothing less.

Relevance

Every piece of research we produce is designed to be actionable — grounded in the real policy questions and local contexts that matter.

Integrity

We follow the evidence, even when it challenges assumptions. Intellectual honesty and ethical practice are non-negotiable.

Inclusion

We centre the voices and perspectives of the communities most affected by policy — in our research design, fieldwork, and recommendations.

Collaboration

The best insights emerge from partnership. We work alongside clients as thought partners, not just consultants.

Impact

We measure success not by reports delivered, but by policies improved, programmes strengthened, and lives changed.

Our Team

A multidisciplinary team of researchers, policy analysts, and community practitioners.
