What types of organisations do you work with?
We work with governments (both national and county), multilateral organisations (World Bank, UNDP, USAID), NGOs, foundations, and private-sector clients with development or CSR objectives. We're equally comfortable advising a county health department or supporting a multinational evaluation.
What is your typical project timeline?
Timelines vary by scope: a rapid policy brief might take 4–6 weeks, a baseline survey 2–3 months, and a comprehensive evaluation 6–12 months. We always agree milestones and deliverables upfront and provide regular progress updates.
Do you work outside Kenya?
Yes. While our base is in Nairobi and much of our work is Kenya-focused, we have delivered projects in Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Ethiopia, Somalia, and South Sudan. We also engage in pan-African policy research through our continental partnerships.
How do you ensure research quality?
All our research follows internationally recognised standards. We maintain an internal review board, adhere to OECD-DAC evaluation criteria, follow ethical review protocols, and subject major outputs to external peer review before publication.
Can you embed researchers in our organisation?
Absolutely. We offer secondment and embedded advisory arrangements where our researchers and analysts work within your team for a defined period. This model is particularly effective for building internal capacity alongside delivering research outputs.
What are your fees and pricing structures?
We offer flexible pricing: fixed-price for defined deliverables, time-and-materials for advisory work, and retainer arrangements for ongoing partnerships. We're transparent about costs and can work within most donor and government procurement frameworks.
